Field Service Engineer

PositionDescription

Thefieldservicetechnicianjobcallsforanindividualwhoisabletomanagemultipleprojectsatthesametimeandtraveltovariousplacestoprovideservicesonvarioustypesofcentrifugalaircompressorsandsystems.ThecandidateshouldhaveexperiencewithI-RCentac,I-R(Cameron,JOY),and/orAtlasCopcoandFSElliottcentrifugalaircompressors.

EssentialDutiesandResponsibilitiesofaFieldServiceTechnician

•Testsandrepairsequipmentatthecustomer’ssite.

•Provideson-sitecommissioningandinstallationofvariousformsofequipment.

•Confirmsthatmachineryandinstrumentsfunctionnormallyandprovidescontractorwarrantyrepairorreplacementon-sitewhennecessary.

•Trainscustomersonstart-up,operationandmaintenanceofvariouspiecesofequipment.

•Performsotherdutiesasassignedtohimorherbytheservicemanagerincludingbutnotlimitedtosalesandservice.

•Travelstocustomerlocationsasnecessarytoprovideservice.

•Attendsregularongoingeducationasscheduledbytheemployerormanufacturerofequipment.

•Fillsoutserviceformsandprovidescustomerswithstatementswhenrequired.

•Preparesservice,expenseandtimesheetsaccuratelyandinatimelymanner.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

•Possessesknowledgeofgeneralelectronicsandturbomachinery.

•Demonstratestheabilitytoworkwithothermembersoffieldservicedepartmentoncrewtypeprojects.

•Isabletohandlemultipletaskswithinasingleday;doesnotallowlonger-than-expectedservicecallstocausefrustrationormajorsetbacks.

•Showstheabilitytoworkindependentlywithoutdirectsupervision.

•Possessesavaliddriver’slicenseandacleandrivingrecord.

•Showsexcellentcustomerserviceskillsandtheabilitytodiagnoseissuesthroughnon-technicaldescriptionsthatareprovidedbycustomers.

EducationandExperience

5ormoreyearsofexperienceinthefieldrequired.

HighschooldiplomaorGEDisrequired.

Associates,Bachelor,orTechnicalDegreepreferred.
