Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Instructor Trainer to design, develop, deliver, and maintain training programs focused on software applications, IT systems, and operational processes. This individual will work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to create engaging learning experiences that improve user adoption, system proficiency, and organizational performance. The ideal candidate has a strong background in curriculum development, instructor-led training, and eLearning content creation, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain training curricula for software applications, business systems, and operational processes.
  • Deliver instructor-led, virtual, and web-based training sessions for both technical and non-technical users.
  • Create and update training materials, including presentations, job aids, instructor guides, videos, reference documents, and eLearning modules.
  • Conduct training needs assessments and collaborate with business partners to identify learning objectives and curriculum requirements.
  • Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) and eLearning authoring tools to create, manage, and track training content.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, surveys, user feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to ensure training content remains accurate, relevant, and aligned with business goals.
  • Support system implementations, upgrades, and process changes by developing and delivering related training programs.
  • Research new learning technologies, methodologies, and best practices to enhance training outcomes.
  • Ensure all learning materials meet accessibility standards and support learners using assistive technologies.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and delivering technical training programs.
  • 5+ years of experience facilitating instructor-led training, workshops, or virtual learning sessions.
  • 5+ years of experience creating curriculum materials, training guides, presentations, videos, and eLearning content.
  • Experience supporting software implementations, enterprise applications, IT systems, or operational business processes.
  • Hands-on experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and eLearning authoring tools.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong instructional design and curriculum development skills.
  • Ability to break down complex technical concepts and communicate them effectively to a variety of audiences.
  • Experience measuring training effectiveness through assessments, reporting, and analytics.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards, EIR requirements, and assistive technologies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, or similar eLearning tools.
  • Experience supporting enterprise software implementations or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Certifications in training, instructional design, or learning and development are a plus.
