Job Summary:
The Assistant Manager supports the Property Manager inthemanagement of day-to-day operations.Theyoverseethefinancial management of the property by ensuring that delinquency iscollected,and records are kept up to date. They,additionally,spearheadpropertymaintenanceby ensuring that work orders andmake-readiesare completed efficiently.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School or GED
Experience:Minimum two (2) years of related property management experience with multi-family
License/Certification(s):Valid State Driver’s License
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- English/Spanish fluency
- Effectiveinterpersonalrelationships, communications,and customer service skills
- Technologically savvy;Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite;someexperienceusing property management software preferred(proficiency withEntratais a plus)
- Demonstratesthe ability to lead onsite property managementemployees
- Knowledgeofapplicable federal, state,and city regulations involving Fair Housing, health and safety policies and procedures,and other aspects of residential,andmulti-family property management
PrincipalResponsibilities:
- Servesas Second-in-Command for property intheabsence oftheProperty Manager
- Assistswith the recruitment,onboarding, training,and development of onsiteemployees
- Overseesadministration of accounting functions fortheproperty including maintenance of financial records and resident ledgers
- Communicateswith all residents and ensuresthat delinquency is collected in a timely manner through regular notices, lockouts, and evictions asrequired
- Conductsfinancial-move-outs by walking apartments and ensuring deposits are effectivelyprocessed
- Processes all deposit and refund requests by collaborating withthecorporate office forexecution
- Respondsto inquiries fromprospectsand current residents regarding property services, accounts, etc.
- Leadsmake-readiesprocessand walk units to ensure turnover is completed in a timelyfashion
- Managesmaintenance department andcoordinateswork order requests with appropriate staff orvendors
- Monitorsrehab projects on property andensurestimelyexecution
- Other duties asassigned
