POSITION SUMMARY
The Crispy Cajun Trainer delivers hands-on training to employees, operators, and managers across Crispy Cajun (CC) locations covering proper food handling, receiving and storage, sanitation, prepping, cooking, merchandising, serving, upselling, and marketing of CC menu items. The Trainer along with the Sales Team is a key driver of new-store openings, brand standard compliance, and operational performance across the assigned territory.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver direct hands-on training at CC locations for employees, operators, and managers on proper prepping and cooking procedures for CC food products.
- Support new-store openings, including pre-opening walkthroughs to verify readiness, receiving the opening food order, and training staff on proper food handling and safety.
- Set up the deli, kitchen, and other work areas at new locations to brand specification.
- Execute clustered/batch openings as scheduled, coordinated by the Corporate Trainer to support multi-store launch when necessary.
- Provide remedial and refresher training as needed at existing CC locations.
- Conduct regular compliance audits of existing CC locations to ensure proprietary product use and adherence to brand standards.
- Complete and submit store visit checklists, audit reports, and opening documentation in a timely, accurate manner.
- Uphold brand standards for small wares, merchandising, allergen handling, and food presentation.
- Provide field feedback to the Corporate Culinary team on training materials, products, and operational issues.
- Assist in setting up and working at trade shows and promotional events.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- At Least Two (2) years of on-site training experience in food service.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills strongly preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations; ServSafe Manager certification required (or willingness to obtain within first 90 days).
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to improve operational performance through employee training and development.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships across the customer/operator base.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated collaborative skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Strong problem-solving, prioritization, time-management, and planning skills.
- Ability to pivot strategies and shift tasks as project requirements change.
PHYSICAL & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis, stand for long periods, drive for long periods, and bend and twist.
- Ability to travel between locations as required, including overnight and multi-day travel.
- Reliable personal vehicle and valid auto insurance (mileage reimbursed per company policy).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
