Shift: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends Available
Harmony Gardens Assisted Living is seeking compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused Personal Caregivers to join our team. The Personal Caregiver provides direct assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), promotes resident independence, and helps create a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for our residents.
The ideal candidate demonstrates kindness, patience, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering exceptional resident care.
Essential ResponsibilitiesAssist residents with activities of daily living, including:
Bathing
Dressing
Grooming
Toileting
Mobility and transfers
Assist residents during meals and monitor food and fluid intake as directed.
Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff.
Maintain resident dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.
Provide companionship and emotional support.
Assist with recreational and social activities.
Ensure resident rooms and common areas remain clean and organized.
Follow infection prevention and safety procedures.
Document care and services provided according to facility policies.
Respond promptly to resident call systems and requests for assistance.
Work collaboratively with nurses, medication aides, and other team members.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
Ability to lift, move, and transfer residents safely.
Ability to pass background screening and pre-employment requirements.
Previous experience in assisted living, long-term care, memory care, or home health.
STNA certification (not required).
CPR/First Aid certification.
Compassionate and resident-centered approach to care.

Strong observation and problem-solving abilities.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
Ability to assist with resident transfers and mobility.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance as needed.
