Lifeguardsare responsible for monitoring aquatic attractions, ensuring guestsafety, and respondingtoemergencies.Thisrolerequires strongobservationskills,theabilitytoactquickly under pressure,anda commitment toproviding a safe andenjoyable guest experience.

• Maintaincontinuous surveillanceofassignedaquaticareasandwaterslidedispatch locations based on certification level.
• Prevent,recognize,andrespondtoguestandemployeeemergencies.
• PerformwaterrescuesandadministerCPR,AED,andfirstaidwhennecessary.
• Maintainproficiencyinparkknowledge,rescuetechniques,andemergencyresponse skills.
• Attendscheduledin-servicetrainingsandparticipateinregularskillsaudits.
• Maintaincleanlinessandsafetyofparkattractionsandsupportareas.
• Followallsafetyprocedures, includingtheuse ofpersonalprotective equipmentand proper reporting of hazards.
• Workeffectivelyaspartofateam.
• Provideprofessional, friendly,andattentiveservicetoguests.
• Maintainaprofessionalappearanceanddemeanor.

• Mustbeatleast15yearsofage.
• Willingnesstoworkaflexibleschedule,includingweekdays,weekends,andholidays.
• Ability to remain calm, assess situations quickly, and make sound decisions in stressful environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining excellent guest service.
• Willingness to comply with grooming guidelines and employment standards.
• Ability to successfully complete all legal, company, and departmental trainings and certification requirements.

• Abilitytostand,walk,andremainalertforextendedperiodsof time.
• Abilitytoworkoutdoorsinextremeweatherconditions,includingheat,humidity,and sun exposure.
• Abilitytoswim,performrescues,liftandassistguestsinandoutofwater,andrespond quickly to emergency situations.
• Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and perform repetitive movements.

Employmentinthispositioniscontingentuponsuccessfulcompletionofpre-employment requirements, which may include:

• Passingapre-requisiteswimtest.
• ObtainingandmaintainingSGECPR/AEDfortheProfessionalRescuercertification.
• Obtainingandmaintainingoneofthefollowinglifeguardcertifications:
  1. ShallowWaterGuard(0–5ft)
  2. Lifeguard(0–6ft+)
• Completionofallrequiredlifeguardtrainingprograms.

Pre-employment lifeguard certification is required. Hawaiian Falls Waterpark hosts certification classes at an approximate cost of $50, which covers the training and certification course.
