Candidates should have strengths in one or more of the following:
- Full Stack Development with strongJava backendexperience
- Backend Javadevelopment with strongdata engineering/data processingskills
- AdvancedUI/front-enddevelopment expertise
- StrongAI engineeringexperience, specifically withAgentic AI, Claude, GitHub Copilot, and MCP. Candidates must have deep engineering experience working with AI technologiesthis isnota role for someone with AI knowledge but limited software engineering experience.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding ofTest-Driven Development (TDD)andUnit Testing
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills are essential
- Years of experience are less important than demonstrated technical capability and problem-solving skills
Project Details
The team is modernizing an outdated approvals platform by:
- Decommissioning approximately10 stored procedures
- Moving business logic intomiddleware
- Deploying the solution asmicroserviceswithin a modern architecture
Contract Details
- Initial4-month contract(currently through end of year)
- 100% expected to extend
- No current intent to convert to full-time
