Our Senior Project Superintendents maintain a full-time on-site presence at the Project Site to guarantee our commitment to building the right way and by the most cost-effective, schedule-conscious means possible. This position is assigned to larger, more complex projects exceeding$100M in value, leveraging their15+ years of extensive industry experience in field supervision, coordination, and completion of the Work, and managing the Project Site. Senior Project Superintendents manage a team of Area Superintendents and other field staff including Field Engineers, and others to achieve our clients’ goals and expectations. They manage related tasks, including but not limited to, organization and coordination of Subcontractors, keeping records on Work performed and materials supplied, controlling of; exercising control over rate of construction progress to assure completion of the Project within the Project Schedule; inspecting or observing the Work to enforce conformity to the Contract Documents; and supervising trades, subcontractors, clerical staff, and other personnel employed in the construction of the project.

This position requires full relocation to the Midland/Odessa area for the duration of the project. Additionally, the role will require relocation and travel to future project locations as business needs dictate

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Senior Superintendents must demonstrate full mastery of all Superintendent responsibilities and the capability to perform the following:

Mentorship & Training

  • Demonstrated experience directly managing and mentoringfive or more Area Superintendents, with a proven ability to develop team members to assume increased responsibility and eventually lead projects independently.
  • Provides regular feedback to theProject Executive and Field Operations Managers on observed trends and identifies areas requiring company or departmentwide training.

Leadership Capacity

  • Effectively leads staff meetings with a clear focus on critical priorities necessary to keep the project on track.
  • Actively participates in superintendent meetings and contributes to strengthening the culture and effectiveness of those meetings across all levels.
  • Requires minimal coaching from theProject Executive and Field Operations Managers to perform assigned job responsibilities.

Jobsite Administration

  • Site Logistics -Create and maintain the site logistics plan.
  • Housekeeping -Maintain a clean jobsite and ensure trade partners uphold cleanliness standards.
  • Workflow -Maintain smooth work sequencing to support schedule; identify/execute “parking lot” work that won’t impact other activities.
  • Jobsite Trailer -Keep trailer and facilities clean, organized, and always presentable.
  • Daily Huddle -Lead daily huddles focusing on work plan confirmation, resolving constraints, and identifying hazards.
  • Subcontractor Precon Meetings -Lead and document subcontractor preconstruction meetings with PM support.
