About the Job

GFS Chemicals is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our RAC Division at our Kaderly Drive location. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for safely and efficiently picking and packing chemical shipments. This role offers strong upward mobility for individuals who are eager to learn, grow and build a long-term career with our organization!

Key Responsibilities

  • Moving materials between warehouses using forklifts, hand-jack, cart, and by hand
  • Preparing materials for shipment
  • Assisting in kitting/inventory departments as needed, preparing material units in quantities on order, and stock
  • Assist in other areas of the company, as needed, to meet the general needs of the production operation
  • Assisting in receiving functions including but not limited to: unloading trucks, verifying product, receiving in the host computer, processing return merchandise authorizations (RMA's), and delivering materials

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Core Skills:
  • Previous warehouse experience preferred
  • Forklift certifiable preferred but not required
  • The ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items for shipping
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions (English)
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Maintains a positive attitude toward work and others
  • Works well with minimal supervision
  • Good organizational, housekeeping and inventory management practices
