Position Purpose/Mission:Step into a hands-on role as an Electromechanical Technician where you'll install, maintain, and repair complex systems that keep our plant running efficiently. You'll troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, work with advanced tools, and ensure everything operates safely and up to code. Milwaukee Road, Milwaukee, WIShift: 6 PM – 6 AM on our 3-2-2-3 schedule (3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off)What you'll Need Technical degree, journeyman’s card, or 5+ years of experience in industrial electrical/mechanical maintenanceProficient in reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, safety codes, and technical documentsStrong knowledge of electrical codes, electronic controls, and electrical/electronic theoryEffective one-on-one communicator with a customer service mindsetSolid understanding of algebra, trigonometry, and geometryProven troubleshooting abilities in complex systemsSkilled in using electrical/mechanical testing equipment and precision measuring toolsExperienced with small hand tools, power tools, welding, and torch equipmentAbility to meet the physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation, as provided in detail in the Job Analysis Database.Nice to Have:Allen Bradley PLC/Drive commissioning and troubleshooting experienceSiemens PLC/Drive commissioning and troubleshooting experienceAC/DC Motor Maintenance experienceHVAC certification or maintenance experienceAdvanced hydraulic/pneumatic commissioning and troubleshooting experiencePhysical Requirements:Frequent standing and walking.Occasional sitting, below waist level work, balancing, carrying, reaching, fine motor skills, forceful motion, and lifting up to 35 lbs.Minimal foot use, climbing, push/pulling, and lifting over 100 lbs.Major Accountabilities:Maintenance & Troubleshooting:Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electromechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, and control systems. Perform regular, preventative, and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime. Diagnose and resolve issues with complex process equipment and instruments.Equipment & System Integrity:Align and fit assemblies, verify dimensions, and ensure safe operation of all systems. Repair and calibrate pneumatic assemblies; fabricate temporary part replacements as needed.Technical Expertise & Documentation:Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and inspection manuals. Maintain CMMS records, parts inventory, and all required documentation.Continuous Improvement & Support:Support training programs, act as a technical resource to plant personnel, and participate in cross-functional teams to improve processes, quality, and productivity using lean principles.Operational Readiness:Perform startup inspections, execute rolling mill setups, service non-essential systems, and update outdated wiring and equipment.Compliance & Standards:Uphold environmental, safety, and quality standards.
