Overview: We are seeking a Regional Nurse Education Specialist, also referred to as a Regional Nurse Educator or Regional Clinical Nurse Educator (Maternal Child Health). Our Regional Nurse Educator for our Maternal Child Health (within the In-Service Education Department) is responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering clinical education and training to nursing and healthcare staff across multiple facilities or units. Their focus is on improving patient care outcomes for maternal, neonatal, and pediatric populations by ensuring staff stay current with evidence-based practices, policies, and certifications.Shift’s Available: Days (No weekends, holidays or call)Employment Type: Full TimeHours: 8-hour shifts – 8:00am to 5:00pm Location: Mission Regional Medical Center - Mission, TXHere are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare:Health, dental, and vision insurance optionsPaid vacation, sick time and holidaysBereavement leave, FMLA and other leave optionsEmployer 401K optionsTuition reimbursement options Life, disability, and other insurance optionsMany other amazing benefits Responsibilities: ** This position provides instructional leadership for planning and delivering education and professional development in Maternal Child Health clinical services & Education for Women’s Services.Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):Develop and conduct orientation programs, continuing education, and competency assessments for Maternal Child Health staff (e.g., labor & delivery, NICU, postpartum, pediatrics)Facilitate simulation training, emergency response drills (e.g., neonatal resuscitation), and updates on best practices and clinical guidelinesCreate learning modules, workshops, and materials based on current standards (AWHONN, NRP, STABLE, etc.)Collaborate with nurse leaders and department managers to identify educational needs and performance gapsEnsure training aligns with standards from bodies such as The Joint Commission, state departments of health, and professional nursing organizationsEvaluate the effectiveness of educational programs using feedback, testing, and outcome data; support initiatives to improve maternal and neonatal safety indicators Qualifications: Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers.
