The Pilot Plant Technician plays in integral role in supporting our consumable product development and certification through prototype production and routine product performance evaluations using established procedures and work practices. • Provides technical support to engineers and scientists in areas such as operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement or product development.
• Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles and manipulates technical data using established formulas and procedures and performs detailed mathematical calculations.
• Conducts and documents a variety of standardized tests; prepares routine test specimens using established procedures and/or drawings; sets up and operates standard test equipment; records test data
• Responsible for executing work in accordance with instructions provided
• Performs additional tasks as required by engineers or supervisor
• Responsible for the safe operation, cleanliness and routine maintenance of all assigned laboratory equipment
• Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s 2025 Strategy.Education & Experience Requirements• Vocational Training and 5+ years’ experience required; or Associates Degree in related field; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 7+ years’ experience in related field.
• Has working knowledge and skills to perform a defined set of analytical/scientific methods or operational processes; Mechanical Aptitude a plus
• Applies experience and skills to complete assigned work within own area of expertise
• Works within standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods
• Works with a moderate degree of supervision
• Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain neat, accurate records
• Proven ability to work independently and as a part of a team with minimal supervision
