Tax Senior Manager
Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Compensation: $135,000 – $175,000 DOE
Schedule: Full-time
A regional public accounting and advisory firm is seeking an experienced Tax Senior Manager to join its Cleveland office. This is a strong opportunity for a senior tax professional who enjoys client relationships, technical tax review, mentoring staff, and helping grow a tax practice.
This role is ideal for someone who wants more than compliance work someone who can manage complex tax engagements, advise clients, develop associates, and contribute to firm growth.
What You’ll Do
- Manage the preparation and review of individual, corporate, partnership, S-Corp, and other entity tax returns
- Conduct tax research for complex and unique client situations
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and contribute to the success of their organizations
- Build strong internal relationships and collaborate across teams
- Provide direction, coaching, and new challenges to associates
- Teach, mentor, and develop team members as they grow in their careers
- Participate in activities that support firm growth and new business development
- Identify opportunities to introduce additional specialists and services to existing clients
- Deliver a high-quality client service experience
- Support a collaborative, people-focused team culture
What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years of relevant tax experience in public accounting or industry
- Active CPA license required
- MST is a plus
- Strong experience reviewing individual, corporate, partnership, S-Corp, and entity tax returns
- Experience managing tax engagements and client relationships
- Strong client service, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing associates
- Interest in business development, practice growth, and client expansion
- Ability to develop creative business solutions in a team-based environment
- Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to bring new ideas
- Strong integrity, professionalism, and commitment to continuous improvement
