Per Diem Staff Pharmacist - Mathiston, MS

A per diem Pharmacist opportunity is available in Mathiston, MS, supporting a veterinary pharmacy specializing in large animals. This role involves processing prescriptions and collaborating with warehouse staff to ensure timely and accurate medication dispensing.

Key Details:

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Initial dates: November 12, 19; December 10, 17
• One day of paid training provided prior to starting
• Typical workload: Approximately 100 prescriptions per day

Responsibilities:

• Enter prescriptions accurately into the pharmacy system
• Print labels for medications
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel who prepare the medication for distribution
• Maintain compliance with all relevant pharmacy regulations and licensing requirements

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid Mississippi Pharmacy License
• At least one year of recent experience in retail pharmacy practice (experience with veterinary medications is a plus but not mandatory)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in prescription processing
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
