Role Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager to oversee residential and commercial audio-video, home automation, and low-voltage installation projects.
The Project Manager will manage projects from initiation through completion, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, logistics, vendor coordination, and quality control. The role will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, installation teams, vendors, and internal departments.
A strong understanding of Control4 home automation systems is essential. Candidates with hands-on Control4 programming experience who can independently handle all aspects of Control4 programming, configuration, integration, and system customization will be highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage residential and commercial AV, home automation, and low-voltage projects from start to finish.
- Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
- Coordinate installation teams, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Manage material procurement, equipment availability, deliveries, and expediting.
- Oversee project logistics, manpower scheduling, and on-site workflows.
- Monitor project progress and resolve scheduling, resource, and operational challenges.
- Conduct project inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Coordinate with sales and design teams to align technical requirements with client expectations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and provide regular project updates.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to agreed specifications.
- Maintain project documentation, schedules, reports, and completion records.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and quality standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in the AV, home automation, or low-voltage industry.
- Strong project planning, scheduling, coordination, and execution skills.
- Experience in expediting materials, equipment, and services.
- Knowledge of inspection, quality control, and logistics management.
- Experience coordinating installation teams and subcontractors.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, project specifications, and wiring diagrams.
- Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites in and around Raleigh, NC.
Control4 Programming Experience – Strongly Preferred
- Hands-on experience as a Control4 Programmer, with the ability to independently handle all aspects of Control4 programming.
- Strong knowledge of Control4 Composer Pro and Composer programming environments.
- Ability to independently program, configure, integrate, and customize Control4 automation systems.
- Experience with lighting control, motorized shades, AV distribution, multi-room audio, video, climate control, and smart home devices.
- Ability to configure drivers, create programming logic, develop automation scenes, and customize user interfaces.
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving Control4 programming and integration issues.
- Ability to manage complete Control4 programming requirements for residential and commercial projects independently.
