Polymer Compounding Process Operator

Mural Group is partnering with a global specialty polymer and material science manufacturer to add a contractor to the team in Bethel, CT. This is a 6-month contract supporting a Fortune 500 specialty materials operation.

Start your shift at 8:00 AM by reviewing batch tickets, verifying raw materials, and staging drums and bags. You’ll calibrate scales, prep mixers and transfer lines, and then:

• Accurately weigh ingredients to meet recipe tolerances and load them into blenders, mixers, and packaging equipment.
• Operate and watch over production systems that blend, mix, package, and move both liquid and dry chemical compounds.
• Respond to basic equipment or process upsetsadjust setpoints, clear minor jams, and reset sensors.
• Pull in-process samples and deliver them to the lab for testing; make adjustments as directed by QC.
• Record lot numbers, quantities, and process conditions in production logs and system inputs (MS Office-based tools).
• Keep work areas clean and organized while following ISO-driven quality requirements and site safety procedures.

Wrap up by 4:30 PMno nights and no weekends.

• Minimum 1 year in blending, mixing, extrusion, or plastics/polymer production (hands-on plant floor experience; not warehousing).
• Comfort in a chemical manufacturing environment using PPE: safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, and other gear as required.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 55 lbs and occasionally maneuver up to 250 lbs.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office for documentation and data entry.
• Strong focus on recipe adherence, documentation accuracy, and product quality.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Interest in a 6-month contract assignment.

• 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (no nights, no weekends).
• $20.00–$25.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

• 6-month contract with a Fortune 500 specialty materials manufacturer.
