Are you an experienced technician looking for a fresh challenge? Our garage door technician position might be perfect for you! You will be in charge of installing garage doors in homes and commercial buildings, in addition to training other technicians.
Our technicians work on renovations, new installations, and repairs, so every day is a little bit different. You will interact with customers and represent our company every day in all of our service areas, so you need to be able to deliver excellent service. You must be proficient with power tools and have a fundamental knowledge of how electrical systems operate in order to perform this job. Apply right away if this sounds like a great opportunity.
Compensation:$25 - $35+ hourly
Responsibilities:- Include yourself in all workplace activities and adhere to all rules and regulations
- Create notes, quotes, and invoices using software
- Calculate installation openings and perform site inspections for larger jobs
- Provide a complete evaluation and precise diagnosis of any issues with the current system, after which present the customer with their options
- Be on time for all appointments, and put forth your best effort to satisfy customers
What you'll do
- Install residential garage doors and openers
- Perform new construction and replacement installations
- Complete accurate measurements and site inspections
- Diagnose and repair existing garage door systems when needed
- Work with hand and power tools
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, builders, and other trades
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
- Use company software to document jobs and communicate updates
- Work independently while collaborating with our installation and sales teams
- With experience, you have the opportunity to take on lead installer responsibilities and train other team members
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of garage door installation experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable reading measurements and using a tape measure
- Experience with garage door openers and basic electrical connections
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail
- Professional appearance and customer-service skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Able to lift and maneuver heavy garage door components
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to travel throughout RI and MA
