Electrical Engineer

Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill an Electrical Engineer job in Florence, SC. This CONTRACT hire job is available with one of our key customers in the manufacturing industry. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical equipment, components, and systems for commercial and industrial applications. In order to be successful in this position, you must have a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and the ability to create engineering drawings and interpret blueprints. Preference will be given to someone with experience with machinery controls, wiring design, and engineering design software.

Electrical Engineer Job responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and test electrical equipment including machinery controls, wiring, and lighting.
• Evaluate the cost effectiveness, reliability, and safety of design models.
• Simulate and test machine and system operation.
• Create sketches and engineering drawings, and perform calculations to establish manufacturing and installation standards and specifications.
• Estimate time and cost to complete projects.
• Investigate and test vendor and competitor products.

Qualifications:

• Two to four years of experience
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Ability to apply electrical theory to engineering projects
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Experience with engineering design software
• Strong communication, problem solving, and attention to detail

This contract Electrical Engineer job is based in Florence, SC. The hourly pay rate for this role ranges from $37.00 - $42.00. Contractors working through Aquinas Consulting are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, medical indemnity coverage, a 401(k) plan, and biweekly direct deposit pay. Contract roles do not include PTO unless required by applicable state laws.
