Responsibilities:
We are hiring a Robotics Engineer who is bilingual in Chinese and English for our oil and gas client to design, implement, optimize, and support robotic automation systems used in the manufacture of energy equipment and components. This hands-on role partners with cross-functional teams to improve safety, product quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.
- Design, program, test, implement, and commission industrial robotic systems for manufacturing applications.
- Develop and modify robot programs using platforms such as FANUC, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa/Motoman, or Universal Robots.
- Configure and integrate end-of-arm tooling (EOAT), machine vision systems, sensors, and related peripheral equipment.
- Optimize robotic processes and cycle times to improve production performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot robotic equipment and resolve production issues through root cause analysis and corrective action.
- Collaborate with Controls Engineers to integrate robots with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), conveyors, industrial networks, and safety systems.
- Provide hands-on manufacturing support and assist with new product introductions.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities that enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Manage small- to medium-sized automation projects, including coordinating suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders.

Schedule/Shift Details:7:00 AM TO 4:00 PM OR 8:00 AM TO 5:00 PM
THIS POSITION IS 100% ON-SITE. NO HYBRID OR REMOTE OPTION.
POSSIBLE RELOCATION OFFERED.
Qualifications:
- Required: Fluency in both Chinese and English.
- Three to seven years of experience with industrial robotic systems, including implementation and programming.
- Experience with PLC integration, industrial networking, and hands-on manufacturing support.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work full-time on-site during one of the listed daytime schedules.
- Education requirement to be confirmed: the original description lists a high school diploma or GED in one section and a bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field in another.
- Experience in energy equipment manufacturing or heavy manufacturing.
- Experience with robotic welding, machine vision, collaborative robots, or offline simulation software.
- Familiarity with SprutCAM.
- Programming experience with Python or C#.
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies; certification is preferred.
- Project management experience.
