About the Opportunity
How do you turn real-time customer activity into personalized offers and recommendations?
We're looking for a Senior AI Engineer to help build a next-generation platform combining real-time data streaming, cloud engineering and AI-driven decisioning to power personalized marketing experiences.
You'll be a hands-on builder, developing production applications and data pipelines, integrating AI workflows and connecting cloud services. Working alongside technical leads, engineers and technology partners, you'll help turn complex designs into reliable, scalable systems.
What You'll Do
- Build production applications: Develop, test and maintain Python applications and services that power the platform.
- Engineer real-time data pipelines: Build solutions that ingest customer events, process streaming data and combine it with batch feeds using Google Cloud services, including Pub/Sub, BigQuery and Cloud Spanner.
- Implement AI-driven workflows: Integrate AI into production applications for offer prioritization, recommendations and personalization, including agentic workflows using Google Reasoning Engine and related Google AI technologies.
- Connect the technology stack: Integrate APIs, customer data sources and downstream marketing platforms, working with engineering teams and technology partners such as Google, GrowthLoop and MetaRouter.
- Improve production performance: Test, debug, deploy and troubleshoot systems to ensure reliability, scalability and performance.
What You'll Bring
- 7+ years of hands-on software engineering or data engineering experience.
- Strong Python programming skills and experience building production applications.
- Practical GCP experience, ideally including BigQuery, Pub/Sub and Cloud Spanner.
- Experience with real-time streaming pipelines, event-driven systems or low-latency data applications.
- Experience integrating AI/ML models or AI-powered workflows into production applications.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to collaborate across technical teams to deliver production-ready solutions.
Particularly Valuable Experience
- Google Vertex AI, Google Reasoning Engine or agentic AI workflows.
- Real-time decisioning, recommendation engines or personalized customer experiences.
- MetaRouter, Segment, Tealium, GrowthLoop, Optimizely or Adobe Experience Platform.
- API integrations, distributed systems, or additional development experience with Java or Go.
Experience with every named platform isn't expected. Strong Python, GCP, real-time data engineering and production AI integration are the priorities.
