Responsibilities
- Safety & Housekeeping:
- Adhere to all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Conduct crane and PIT/tugger inspections.
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area.
- Properly handle spools and bobbins.
- Report any injuries, accidents, or unsafe conditions immediately.
- Production:
- Follow job priorities and instructions from supervisors.
- Ensure correct machine setup, wire flow, and color.
- Communicate material needs effectively.
- Prepare labels and complete necessary documentation.
- Perform light maintenance and die changes, achieving a minimum of 10 full die changes per month.
- Quality:
- Ensure accurate wire traceability and documentation.
- Conduct quality checks and weld samples.
- Identify and report non-conforming materials.
- Quarantine questionable materials and notify supervisors.
- Manage rejected materials according to protocol.
- Work Expectations:
- Arrive on time and ready to work.
- Perform only trained and authorized tasks.
- Maintain safe, productive, and professional work habits.
- Assist other operators and take on additional duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Experience in machine operation and maintenance.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in wire drawing or related manufacturing roles.
- Familiarity with quality control processes.
