Cable Technician

Pay Range: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and skills.

Outsource is seeking a motivated Cable Technician to join our team supporting installation and service projects in and around Monroe, Louisiana. This role is ideal for someone with at least a year of hands-on cable or telecommunications experience who is comfortable traveling to various job sites as assignments require. You'll work directly with customers and crews to deliver reliable connectivity solutions on time and to spec.

Job Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, and repair coaxial, fiber, and Ethernet cabling in residential and commercial settings
• Test signal strength and troubleshoot connectivity issues using industry-standard tools
• Set up and configure modems, routers, and related network equipment for end users
• Travel to assigned job sites, including occasional out-of-town or multi-day projects
• Document completed work, parts used, and service details accurately
• Communicate clearly with customers to explain services performed and address questions
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in proper working condition

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in cable installation, telecommunications, or a related field
• Working knowledge of cabling standards and basic networking concepts
• Comfortable using hand tools, cable testers, and other field equipment
• Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in the field

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly pay range of $18.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and project requirements
• Weekly pay
