Location: Waterloo, IA 50704
Shift: 1st Shift – 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (Overtime may be scheduled at the end of the shift)

Description:
Job Summary
- Support product design, testing, analysis, and model-based product development for engine performance and power systems.
- Develop and optimize engineering models, simulation workflows, and analysis methodologies to improve product performance, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the deployment of advanced model architectures and workflow processes across engine engineering.
- Conduct complex engine performance simulations, analysis, and optimization to support engine development programs.
- Collaborate with performance engineers to pilot, test, and implement advanced engineering processes.
- Develop and improve model capabilities, calibration procedures, analysis methodologies, and engineering tools.
- Analyze engineering data, validate design solutions, document technical specifications, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of industry experience in engine performance, or 1+ year of industry experience combined with a relevant advanced degree.
- Experience using GT-Power and GT-Suite for engine performance modeling, simulation, and analysis.
- Strong proficiency in standard engineering software, including MATLAB, with experience in thermofluids.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to support engineering development, testing, and optimization activities.
Desired Skills
- 3+ years of engineering experience with heavy-duty diesel engines, intermediate proficiency in GT-Power/GT-Suite, and a Master of Science degree or higher in engineering.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or another related engineering discipline, or equivalent work experience.
