Summary Openwork, formerly Meador Staffing, is searching for mechanically-inclined Electronic Installation Technicians for small aircrafts. Techs will install, wire, troubleshoot, and test electronic systems and components in small aircraft. This position needs candidates with previous installation experience. If you meet this qualification, we want to hear from you! Key Responsibilities
- Usemultimeters, including selecting the correct settings, measuring voltage, resistance, and continuity, and using equipment safely and accurately.
- Install, route, connect, and secure electrical wiring, cables, connectors, and electronic components.
- Assist with the installation and integration of aircraft electronic systems and equipment.
- Use digital multimeters and other electrical testing tools to measure, test, and verify connections.
- Demonstrate the ability to select appropriate tool settings and interpret test readings accurately.
- Read and follow wiring diagrams, schematics, installation instructions, and technical documentation.
- Identify wiring issues, troubleshoot connections, and assist with repairs as needed.
- Perform continuity checks and other electrical tests to verify proper installation and functionality.
- Maintain organized work areas and handle tools, components, and equipment properly.
- Follow established safety procedures, quality standards, and applicable installation requirements.
Qualifications
- Previous hands-on experience installing electrical, electronic, wiring, or low-voltage systems.
- Thorough knowledge of industry tools, particularly digital multimeters and electrical testing equipment.
- Ability to demonstrate proper tool selection, settings, usage, and interpretation of readings.
- Familiarity with wiring diagrams, schematics, connectors, cables, and electrical components.
- Strong attention to detail, troubleshooting skills, and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow technical instructions and maintain high-quality workmanship.
- Experience in aviation electronics is a plus, but candidates with relevant installation experience in automotive, marine, residential security, networking, or audio/video systems are encouraged to apply.
- Must complete a mechanical assessment to ensure mechanical and tool-operation knowledge meet company standards.
