You’ll collaborate across software and hardware teams to design, test, debug, and document solutions spanning operating systems, firmware, networking, and applications. Your impact: dependable software helps product teams integrate components and gives users consistent device performance.

Duties

  • Develop and troubleshoot Linux software, embedded systems, firmware, and applications using C, C++, Python, Bash (Unix shell), and shell scripting.

  • Design algorithms, APIs, and RESTful APIs; work with JSON, XML, SQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, PHP, Java, JavaScript, Node.js,.NET, C#, Visual Basic, VBA, Perl, Objective-C, and Android as project needs require.

  • Integrate ARM microcontrollers, sensors, FPGA, PCB, Raspberry Pi, Zigbee, Ethernet, TCP/IP, DHCP, WAN, VoIP, and Internet of Things components; use logic analyzers and soldering for hardware troubleshooting.

  • Apply software design, unit testing, test automation, software quality assurance, and debugging practices; use Git, GitHub, SVN, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, Visual Studio, Eclipse, UML, and Agile or Scrum workflows.

  • Support computer networking, network monitoring, encryption, real-time systems, RTOS, OS kernels, and operating systems; contribute to signal processing, machine learning, big data, quantum engineering, Simulink, MATLAB, and content development where relevant.

Experience
