What You'll Do

As an Assistant Baker, you’ll play a hands-on role in supporting both our bread and pastry departments. Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the production and preparation of bread and pastries.
• Accurately scaling and measuring ingredients according to recipes.
• Supporting bread production tasks such as mixing, dividing, shaping, and preparing doughs for baking.
• Assisting with pastry preparation, assembly, and finishing.
• Packaging, labeling, and organizing baked goods for retail and wholesale orders.
• Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including washing dishes and cleaning equipment.
• Receiving, organizing, and rotating ingredients and supplies.
• Following food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
• Jumping in to support the team wherever needed to keep production running smoothly.

What We're Looking For

We’re seeking someone who is hardworking, dependable, and eager to grow in their craft. The ideal candidate will bring:

• At least one year of experience in a professional bakery, restaurant, or commercial kitchen (though we’re happy to train the right candidate).
• A genuine interest in baking and learning new skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
• A team-oriented, punctual, and dependable approach to work.
• A willingness to take on a variety of tasks, including cleaning and dishwashing.
• The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
• A positive attitude, curiosity, and a desire to grow professionally.

Physical & Scheduling Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working in a commercial bakery environment.
• Availability for early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
