Medical Assistant
Hourly Pay: $19.00 - $21.00
Location: Elgin, IL 60123
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 2 years of Medical Assistant experience
- Current CPR or BLS certification
- Experience taking and documenting patient vital signs
- Ability to assist physicians with examinations and clinical procedures
- Ability to administer injections
- Strong patient-service and communication skills
- Comfortable answering patient calls and routing clinical questions appropriately
JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff in a busy patient-care environment. This position assists with examinations and procedures, obtains vital signs, administers injections, supports efficient patient flow, and handles basic administrative responsibilities.
The Medical Assistant will also respond to patient calls, communicate prescription requests as directed, maintain physician schedules, and ensure all patient-care activities follow applicable compliance, ethical, and business standards.
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Certified Medical Assistant credential
- Phlebotomy experience
- Previous oncology or cancer-care experience
- Experience communicating prescription requests under physician or RN direction
- Experience managing physician schedules and completing clinical administrative tasks
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
