Schedule: 5x8-hour day shifts
On-Call: 5–7 call shifts per 7-week block
2–4 weekend call shifts
Callback/Holidays: Per unit needs
Contract: 6-month contractors will be considered
Experience: 2 years required
License: NYS License required or must be obtainable before start
Certifications:
ARRT – Required
BLS – Required (AHA only)
VIR Certification – Preferred
Responsibilities:
Perform Interventional Radiology procedures and assist Radiologists
Prepare and instruct patients for examinations
Select appropriate exposure factors and position patients
Produce diagnostic-quality radiologic images
Operate IR equipment and report malfunctions
Complete procedures efficiently and assist with room turnover
Use HIS, RIS and PACS systems
Maintain patient confidentiality and medication security
Provide technical support to physicians and hospital staff
Additional: Must demonstrate strong teamwork, communication, flexibility, compassion, and awareness of patient rights.
