Job Description

Job Description
Join Acloche in Lancaster as an Injection Molding Line Quality Technician

Acloche has immediate, temp-to-hire opportunities for detail-focused talent who thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. In this role, you’ll keep an injection molding press running smoothly and safely while ensuring every plastic part meets quality standards.

What a typical shift looks like

You arrive a few minutes early to review the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for your press and the parts on deck. As the clamp opens, you quickly and safely remove parts from the machine or collect them from the conveyor on automatic presses placing them on the table for inspection. With a sharp eye and a steady hand, you scan parts for cracks, holes, color inconsistencies, or any other defects the SOP specifies. If something seems off, you alert your supervisor immediately.

Next, you move into finishing: trimming flash and cutting sprues with hand tools, drilling on a punch or drill press when required, and assembling components as needed. Between cycles, you keep accurate records, updating production and scrap sheets so the line’s performance is crystal clear. When orders are ready, you count and stack parts into boxes, apply labels, and prep them for storage or shipment. Throughout your shift, you maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation and when it’s time, you hand off to the next press operator without disrupting production.

Core responsibilities
  • Operate an injection molding press per SOPs to produce quality plastic parts safely and efficiently.
  • Remove parts from the press or conveyor; stage parts for inspection and finishing.
  • Conduct in-process visual and tactile inspections for cracks, holes, color variation, and other defined defects; escalate issues to supervision.
  • Finish parts by trimming sprues/flash, drilling on punch or drill press, and performing light assembly as needed.
  • Complete production and scrap documentation accurately and on time.
  • Prepare finished goods for storage or shipment: count, stack, box, and label.
  • Keep the work area neat and safe; follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Support seamless shift transitions by relieving the next shift operator without interrupting production.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What you bring
  • 1–2 years of relevant manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong attendance and reliability.
  • Ability to follow oral instructions and visual aids; clear verbal communication with supervisors and teammates.
  • Keen attention to detail with solid communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 35 lbs regularly; bend, stoop, squat, reach, crouch, and kneel; and sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Comfort working in warm conditions (facility is not climate-controlled and operates near ovens).
Schedule and pay
  • 3rd shift: Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
  • Mandatory overtime on Fridays.
  • Pay: $15.50/hour; Overtime: $23.25/hour.
