Job Description

Love turning data into decisions people actually act on?

Our client is a fast-growing, high-volume, multi-location retailer, and a leader in its industry. They're adding a Merchandising & Pricing Analyst to their merchandising team, which is a key part of how the business wins.

This role suits someone who likes both sides of the work. One day you're fixing a pricing discrepancy at the SKU level. The next, you're building the Power BI dashboard that shows leadership where the margin is. You'll shape pricing, promotions, and assortment decisions, and you'll see how your work shows up in stores.

If you're the person who builds the better template, writes the prompt that saves your team hours, and checks the numbers before anyone else asks, keep reading.

What You'll Do

  • Own the numbers. Build and maintain Power BI dashboards that track sales, gross margin, promotions, markdowns, and product performance, then turn what you find into clear recommendations.
  • Drive pricing strategy. Model pricing scenarios, cost changes, and markdowns, and present your analysis to leadership. Once a decision is approved, carry it out accurately across systems.
  • Run promotions. Build and validate promotional product lists for seasonal events and product launches so every promotion goes live correctly.
  • Protect accuracy. Audit pricing across systems, price tags, and in-store displays, and fix problems at the root so they don't come back.
  • Support a key category. Work with a senior category leader on SKU and collection analysis, assortment changes, product introductions, and vendor coordination.
  • Make the work smarter. Use Microsoft 365 Copilot, Power BI, and Excel to simplify repetitive, manual workflows. Build reusable prompts, templates, and checklists that make the whole team faster.
  • Partner across the business. Work daily with Category Management, Inventory Planning, Store Planning, Visual Merchandising, Marketing, and Finance.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in merchandising, pricing, category management, retail operations, or product data management
  • Hands-on Power BI experience: building dashboards, writing reporting logic, and validating data and refreshes
  • Strong Excel skills, including pivots, lookups, reconciliation, and analysis
  • Real experience using Microsoft 365 Copilot or similar AI tools in daily work, including prompting, refining output, and checking results for accuracy
  • A track record of improving processes through documentation, controls, or automation
  • A strong understanding of retail pricing, margin, and the product lifecycle
  • Clear communication and the confidence to work with partners across the business
  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Finance, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered.

Why You'll Love It

  • $75,000 - $90,000 base salary, depending on experience
  • Annual profit-sharing program that rewards shared company success
  • Hybrid schedule
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Generous Paid time off policy
  • Company Employee Assistance Programs
  • A team culture that values recognition and growth and listens to employee feedback
  • A seat at the table where your analysis directly shapes pricing and merchandising decisions
