Our client makes precision-engineered industrial components and is part of a global organization. Their Houston operation is already live on Infor LN, so this isn’t an implementation project. They need a hands-on LN professional who sits between the business and IT. You won’t be writing custom code, and you won’t just be reading reports either. You’ll build them, run them, and dig into the system to find out why the numbers are wrong and fix it.
You’ll be the go-to person on site for Infor LN and reporting. Every department will rely on you, and you’ll work with the client’s corporate IT team and experienced key users at their European headquarters. You’ll have real ownership and visibility, plus hands-on exposure to ERP, MES and Business Intelligence systems at once.
What You’ll Do
- Create, run and maintain reports and Power BI dashboards for operations, finance, planning, warehouse and sales
- Investigate reporting and data issues, trace problems back through Infor LN and its integrations, and fix them at the source
- Write and adjust SQL queries to pull, validate and reconcile data
- Troubleshoot functional issues in LN and make configuration changes yourself
- Manage the IT ticket queue and resolve issues locally before they need escalating
- Work with users to understand what they need, and turn requests into reports, workflows and practical system improvements
- Write test cases and test fixes, report changes and new functionality before they go live
- Partner with the corporate IT/ERP team on larger developments, integrations and enhancements
- Lead user training and change management so processes and reporting are used consistently across Infor LN, MES and BI tools
What You Bring
- 2+ years of hands-on functional experience with Infor LN
- Strong SQL skills and experience building reports and dashboards (Power BI preferred)
- Experience troubleshooting data issues, including data migration, data cleansing, and integrations (API/SFTP)
- Functional configuration experience across ERP modules such as Finance (including GL setup and mapping), Manufacturing, Planning, Warehousing or Sales
- Experience with testing (unit, integration, UAT) and post-go-live support
- The ability to explain a data or system issue clearly to both shop-floor users and technical IT staff
- A curious, problem-solving mindset: you want to know why a number is wrong, not just that it is
Bonus Points
- Experience with other ERP platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP or Workday
- Experience supporting manufacturing clients or operations
- Experience with MES systems
- Experience working with international or centralized corporate IT teams
- Agile or project coordination experience
Education
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or a related field is preferred. Equivalent hands-on Infor LN experience is just as valuable.
