We are seeking an experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of data center and mission critical construction projects. This individual will be responsible for managing project operations, financial performance, subcontractor relationships, schedules, and coordination with owners and design teams.
Qualified candidates should have hands-on experience managing commercial construction projects for a General Contractor, with the ability to independently lead projects, manage financial responsibilities, and drive project execution from preconstruction through closeout.
This is a commercial construction position, not an IT or software project management role.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of assigned construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout.
- Prepare for and lead weekly Owner, Architect, and Contractor (OAC) meetings, including coordination, issue resolution, action item tracking, and project decisions.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Work closely with the Superintendent to monitor construction progress, project schedules, subcontractor performance, and completion milestones.
- Participate in preconstruction activities, including estimating, budget development, scope reviews, and project planning.
- Manage subcontractor buyout, contract negotiations, scope coordination, and procurement commitments.
- Maintain responsibility for project budgets, cost forecasting, financial reporting, and overall project profitability.
- Review and manage change orders, cost impacts, subcontractor pay applications, and owner billings.
- Monitor project financial performance and proactively address potential budget overruns or financial risks.
- Oversee RFIs, submittals, project documentation, and contract administration.
- Coordinate construction activities involving mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other critical building systems.
- Identify and resolve design conflicts, scheduling challenges, subcontractor issues, and other project risks.
- Maintain communication with owners and project stakeholders regarding progress, milestones, and potential challenges.
- Ensure projects meet contractual requirements, safety standards, quality expectations, and scheduled completion dates.
- Oversee project closeout, including punch lists, final documentation, and financial reconciliation.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Project Coordinators.
Required Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience leading OAC meetings and coordinating directly with owners, architects, and subcontractors.

- Experience managing multiple phases of the construction project lifecycle, including preconstruction, execution, and closeout.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor management, and project controls.
- Ability to independently manage project priorities, resolve issues, and maintain accountability for project performance.
- Strong communication, negotiation, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent construction experience.
