Role Overview
BEPC is seeking an experienced, hands-on Technical Program Manager to lead complex software engineering and Physical AI initiatives for our client in Atlanta, GA.
This role is ideal for a proactive program leader who can manage multiple projects independently, coordinate global engineering teams, and deliver results in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
You will work at the intersection of AI, software engineering, and physical systems, helping drive innovative solutions that improve building efficiency, industrial processes, and connected operations.
The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of technical program management experience, strong Agile execution skills, and a proven ability to manage budgets, resolve dependencies, and communicate effectively with executive stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multiple complex software engineering and technology programs from planning through delivery.
- Manage large-scale programs with budgets of $2 million or more, targeting delivery within ±5% of approved budgets.
- Coordinate execution across 6+ Agile/Scrum teams and approximately 30+ engineers and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain project roadmaps, schedules, milestones, resource plans, budgets, and forecasts.
- Identify program risks, resolve dependencies, escalate blockers, and ensure delivery commitments are met.
- Partner with Engineering, AI, Product Management, UX, and business teams to align technical execution with business objectives.
- Coordinate globally distributed teams across multiple time zones and collaborate with external engineering vendors.
- Facilitate program meetings, maintain action logs, and ensure accountability for deliverables.
- Monitor program KPIs, sprint progress, financial performance, and resource utilization.
- Prepare concise executive-level reports covering program status, risks, dependencies, budgets, and milestones.
- Drive continuous improvement while adapting to changing priorities and ambiguous requirements.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree.
- 8+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Engineering Program Management, or a closely related role.
- Demonstrated success delivering large, complex engineering or software programs on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and software development lifecycles.
- Experience managing multiple engineering teams and cross-functional technology initiatives.
- Proven ability to manage program budgets, resource allocation, financial forecasts, and project risks.
- Experience coordinating globally distributed teams and/or external engineering partners.
- Excellent organizational, documentation, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication, including executive-level status reporting.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive projects forward with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency with project/program management tools, roadmap planning, sprint tracking, and KPI reporting.
Preferred
- Experience with AI/ML, Physical AI, IoT, industrial software, building automation, or connected products.
- Experience leading 6+ Agile/Scrum engineering teams.
- Proven success managing $2M+ engineering/software programs.
- Experience coordinating 30+ engineers and global teams across three or more time zones.
- Experience managing external development vendors and global engineering partners.
- Ability to translate complex technical challenges into clear business priorities and actionable plans.
