Semi Trailer Mechanic
Applicant will be required to lift heavy objects to complete jobs, Welding, fabricating body parts on semi trailers. Have knowledge using grinders, welders, sheers, plasma cutter, POP rivet and huck tools. Have experience in air brake repairs. Diagnose and repair electrical and lights. Have own tools and valid drivers license. Mechanical back ground and CDL a plus. Will train the right candidate.

Responsibilities for a Trailer Mechanic Technician:

• Perform trailer repairs, including wall patches and floor patches
• Perform preventative maintenance on trailers
• Perform DOT inspections
• Replace wheel seals
• Perform welding as needed
• Provide mobile repair services
• Provide road service as needed
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with trailers
• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Read job orders, observe and listen to vehicles in operation to resolve malfunction and plan work procedures.
• Follow checklists ensuring all critical parts are examined.
• Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and adjust as needed.
• Test-drive vehicles to ensure that they run smoothly.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer happiness.
• Properly complete the service and/or repairs assigned by the supervisor.
• Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements and published procedures.
• Participate in, and utilize to the best of one’s abilities, technical training as assigned by management.
• Maintain your designated workspace in an organized and clean manner.
• Ensure guest vehicles are returned as clean as they were prior to being serviced.
• Make every effort to achieve the production objectives set by management.

Qualifications
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics
- Experience in plasma cutting
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to perform heavy lifting
- Welding skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Excellent problem-solving skills
