Are you a hands-on mechanic who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing, and improving equipment? We're looking for a General Mechanic to join our maintenance team and play a key role in keeping our operations running safely and efficiently. If you have mechanical aptitude, electrical troubleshooting experience, and enjoy solving problems, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical equipment issues.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and technical manuals.
- Modify, rebuild, and adjust equipment, including fabricating parts and assemblies when needed.
- Assist with continuous improvement and preventative maintenance programs.
- Follow all safety procedures and utilize proper PPE.
- Support facility maintenance projects and other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in maintenance, mechanical repair, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Ability to wire equipment and facility systems in accordance with NEC standards.
- Basic plumbing knowledge.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read work orders, technical documents, and equipment manuals.
Bonus Skills
- Forklift and/or scissor lift experience (or willingness to be trained).
- Manufacturing maintenance experience.
- Preventative maintenance background.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
- Work in varying temperatures and industrial environments.
- Ability to climb ladders, work in tight spaces, stand for extended periods, and operate machinery and tools.
