Job Type: Contract (No Benefits)
Duration: 14 weeks
Shift: 4x10, 12:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Candidates Required: Both local and traveler candidates
PAY RATE
- Traveler:$2,700 – $2,900 per week, based on experience.
- Local: $58 – $62 per hour, based on experience.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
QUALIFICATIONS
- A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
- NYS license/registration.
- One year of CT/MRI experience as a radiologic technologist.
- Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.
DUTIES
- Perform radiographic examinations under the direction of departmental radiologists.
- Greet the patient, explain the examination they are about to undergo, and position the patient.
- Set the proper exposure factors to obtain the required quality radiograph.
- Practice appropriate radiation safety and protection so patients do not undergo undue radiation exposure.
- Maintain sufficient knowledge to operate imaging equipment efficiently and effectively in order to obtain quality studies.
- Report any equipment malfunctions to the immediate supervisor.
- Process films and input information into the Radiology Information System for documentation and billing purposes.
- Use imaging equipment properly and follow department procedures and protocol as defined in the Policy and Procedure Manual.
- Provide radiologic examinations based on referring physician and radiologist needs.
