Inventory Control Specialist – we are Flat Fee Shipping - a fast growing e-commerce direct to consumer looking for an energetic person to help us in managing our product inventory across our warehouses. We are looking for immediate full-time help. Full time is Monday through Friday, second shift 2pm-10pm
Position Overview
Flat Fee Shipping is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to help maintain accurate inventory records and support daily warehouse operations. This position involves inventory tracking, problem-solving, reporting, and working closely with warehouse management to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management: Perform routine inventory counts and verify that physical inventory matches warehouse records.
Inventory Accuracy: Investigate discrepancies, identify missing or misplaced products, and make necessary corrections.
Reporting & Data Entry: Use Excel and warehouse management software to maintain records, analyze inventory data, and prepare reports.
Shipping & Receiving: Verify incoming shipments, returned merchandise, and product quantities for accuracy.
Warehouse Organization: Maintain accurate product locations, labeling, and barcode information.
Process Improvement: Identify recurring inventory issues and recommend solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Inventory Manager and warehouse personnel to resolve issues and support daily operations.
Inventory Audits: Assist with warehouse-wide inventory counts, inspections, and special inventory projects.
Qualifications & Skills
Approximately 2 years of warehouse, inventory control, or related experience.
Experience with warehouse management systems and barcode scanning equipment.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and resolve problems.
Effective communication and accurate recordkeeping skills.
Forklift experience preferred but not required.
