Occupational Therapist School Setting - Springfield, VT

Make a meaningful impact on students’ lives by providing occupational therapy services across a diverse K-12 environment. In this contract role, you’ll collaborate with a dedicated team supporting four school buildings for the upcoming academic year. Whether onsite or working virtually, this opportunity allows you to contribute your expertise in helping students develop vital skills for success.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Vermont OT or COTA certification required
• Experience working within a school setting, especially K-12
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with teachers, staff, and families
• Ability to adapt therapeutic interventions to a broad range of student ages and needs
• Comfortable providing guidance to a COTA as the supervising OT (for OTs)
• Familiarity with virtual service delivery is beneficial

Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students across elementary, middle, and high school levels (district-wide for OTs, grades 5-12 and select 2-4 for COTAs)
• Complete assessments, develop IEP goals, and document student progress
• Consult with education teams to develop strategies and supports for students
• Supervise and collaborate with a COTA where applicable
• Participate in team meetings and parent conferences, both onsite and virtually
• Maintain timely records and compliance with district and state documentation standards

What’s Offered:

• Full-time commitment: 35-37.5 hours per week
• Academic school year position: 8/26/26 – 6/14/27
