This is an excellent opportunity for a Universal Banker, Teller Trainer, Lead Teller, Senior Customer Service Representative, or Assistant Branch Manager who is ready to take the next step into branch leadership. If you have a strong foundation in retail banking, take pride in accuracy and professionalism, and enjoy helping both customers and coworkers succeed, we want to hear from you.

At Security Bank, you can put your banking experience to work in a professional, community-focused environment where relationships matter, teamwork is valued, and your contributions make a difference. Enjoy the opportunity to advance your career while working within a traditional retail banking environment.

What You'll Do

As Branch Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the branch, lead and develop employees, build customer relationships, and help the team achieve its service, sales, and operational goals.

Lead, Coach & Develop Your Team

  • Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, and support to branch employees.
  • Train and coach tellers and Universal Bankers on banking procedures, customer service, product knowledge, and relationship-building.
  • Set clear expectations, monitor performance, provide feedback, and support employee development.
  • Promote a positive, accountable team environment focused on professionalism, accuracy, and outstanding customer service.
  • Coordinate staffing and scheduling to ensure efficient branch operations, including Saturday coverage.
Deliver an Exceptional Customer Experience

  • Build lasting relationships with customers by understanding their financial needs and recommending appropriate banking solutions.
  • Lead by example in delivering prompt, courteous, polished, and personalized service.
  • Handle customer questions and concerns professionally, resolving issues whenever possible.
  • Oversee account opening, account maintenance, estate-related transactions, and other branch services.
  • Identify opportunities to deepen existing relationships and connect customers with additional bank specialists when appropriate.
Drive Branch Growth & Business Development

  • Help the branch achieve deposit, lending, referral, and other established performance goals.
  • Promote deposit, consumer lending, and mortgage products based on customer needs and applicable qualifications.
  • Develop new customer relationships through community involvement, referrals, outreach, and personal relationship-building.
  • Coach employees on recognizing customer needs, making effective referrals, and identifying opportunities to grow relationships.
  • Monitor branch performance and identify opportunities to improve results, service, and efficiency.
Oversee Operations, Accuracy & Compliance

  • Maintain strong controls over cash handling, balancing, vault operations, ATMs, night deposits, alarms, and opening and closing procedures.
  • Monitor branch activity, transaction accuracy, teller differences, sales performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure employees follow established policies, procedures, security protocols, and applicable banking regulations.
  • Maintain awareness of potential fraud, money laundering, identity theft, elder financial exploitation, and other suspicious activity indicators.
  • Support audit readiness, safe deposit operations, required documentation, and the confidentiality and security of customer information.
  • Identify operational needs and recommend improvements related to staffing, processes, and branch performance.
What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who combines banking knowledge and operational discipline with the professionalism, communication skills, and leadership potential to manage a successful branch.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three to five years of retail banking experience, or comparable experience that demonstrates strong readiness for branch leadership.
  • Hands-on experience with cash handling, balancing, customer transactions, and maintaining accuracy in a financial services environment.
  • Working knowledge of retail banking products and services, including deposit accounts, account opening, customer service, and sales or referrals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, sound judgment, and a professional approach to customer and employee interactions.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and follow established controls.
  • A demonstrated commitment to exceptional customer service, teamwork, and personal accountability.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience training, mentoring, or coaching tellers, Universal Bankers, or other customer-facing employees.
  • Previous leadership experience as an Assistant Branch Manager, Lead Teller, Teller Trainer, Senior Universal Banker, or similar role.
  • Experience supporting consumer lending, mortgage lending, or related financial services.
  • An associate degree or higher in business, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience with sales goals, customer referrals, relationship development, and community outreach.
The right candidate does not need to have held the title of Branch Manager before. We value candidates who have built a strong foundation in banking, demonstrated leadership through training or mentoring, and are ready to take ownership of a branch's people, service, and performance.
