Machine Operator

Job Title: Operator 1, Machine

Location: Canaan, CT 06018
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Pay Rate: $26/hour + 10% Shift Differential (W2)
Shift: Night Shift, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM (Alternating C Crew Schedule)

Job Description:

We are seeking a Machine Operator 1 to perform routine production activities, including filling, assembling, packaging, labeling, and inspecting products. The ideal candidate will follow standard operating procedures, maintain accurate production records in compliance with FDA, GMP, and ISO standards, and work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Note: Candidates must complete approximately 3 months of day-shift training before transitioning to the night shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate production equipment and perform routine manufacturing tasks.
• Perform filling, assembly, packaging, labeling, and product inspection.
• Maintain accurate production records and logs.
• Follow safety guidelines, standard operating procedures, and quality standards.
• Support team goals and rotate between tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior industrial or manufacturing experience required.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Basic math skills and ability to interpret written specifications.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work alternating shifts and extended hours as required.
