Job Description

Join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic where you will showcase your expertise in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems. Your role will involve maintaining and enhancing the performance of various equipment within our facility.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot 480 volt electrical systems and equipment.
• Utilize experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) to enhance equipment performance.
• Perform gear box and motor replacements as needed.
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks 50% of the time.
• Engage in mechanical/electrical troubleshooting and repair of all facility equipment.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in handling 480V electrical systems.
• Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD).
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting.
• Knowledge in hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ability to interpret schematics.

Work Environment

You will be working in a food manufacturing facility that specializes in bread production. The facility maintains a comfortable temperature of 68 degrees year-round. The role requires working the 3rd shift from 11 pm to 7:30 am, Tuesday through Saturday. Be prepared to work at heights on 80ft silos and wear safety equipment such as respirators/SCBA. The dress code includes smocks, hair nets, and beard nets to ensure safety and hygiene.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of HAZLETON, PA.

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
