Duties
- Respond swiftly to emergency calls for water, fire, flood, or mold-related incidents, providing effective mitigation services.
- Perform cleaning and restoration tasks using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as moisture meters and Xactimate estimating software.
- Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly during job assignments.
- Implement safety protocols including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protection to ensure safety for oneself and team members.
- Conduct mold remediation, water damage restoration, and carpet cleaning with attention to detail and industry standards.
- Assist in demolition, construction cleanup, and the setup of containment areas as needed.
- Document job progress accurately using industry-standard documentation methods and Xactimate estimates.
- Maintain a clean work environment during and after projects; perform detailed cleaning of affected areas.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain procedures, answer questions, and ensure satisfaction.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and industry best practices throughout all mitigation activities.
Experience
- Prior experience in the restoration industry or related construction fields is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of water damage restoration, fire restoration, mold remediation, and flood recovery processes.
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment.
- Experience operating company vehicles in compliance with safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret Xactimate estimates for job scope and invoicing.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude in high-pressure situations.
- Demonstrated understanding of safety procedures including PPE use and respiratory protection.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in dynamic environments.
- Willingness to be on-call for emergency response coverage at irregular hours.
