Assembly Mechanic

As an Assembly Mechanic, you will be responsible for assembling custom equipment and machinery according to specifications and drawings. Your role will include performing electrical wiring and component installation, reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, completing basic plumbing tasks, and performing mechanical assembly using hand and power tools. You will be tasked with inspecting completed assemblies to ensure quality and functionality, troubleshooting and resolving issues during the assembly process, and maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment. Collaboration with engineering and production teams to meet project deadlines is essential.

• Assemble custom equipment and machinery according to specifications and drawings.
• Perform electrical wiring and component installation.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Complete basic plumbing tasks, including installation and connection of piping, fittings, and related components.
• Perform mechanical assembly using hand and power tools.
• Inspect completed assemblies to ensure quality and functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues during the assembly process.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet project deadlines.

• Proven experience in mechanical assembly, equipment manufacturing, or a related field.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Working knowledge of electrical wiring practices and components.
• Basic plumbing skills and experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to use common hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
• Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and quality-focused.

• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, or industrial controls.
• Electrical certification or related technical training.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wallingford, CT.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
