Blending Operator

Position: Blending Operations Associate

Location: Kenosha, WI

Area of Responsibility:

The Blending Operations Associate is accountable for performing accurate batch manufacturing of chemicals as per approved recipes while complying with best management practices and standard operating procedures.

Accountabilities:

· Batch Processing and documentation

· Raw material staging

· Maintain good housekeeping practices

· Follow the blending process approval procedure

· Troubleshoot problems to ensure production schedules are met

· Report all accidents, near misses and environmental concerns to supervisor immediately

· Perform the required process analysis and interfacing with the Quality Control Technician to review in-process results

· Ensure quality product is produced and meets acceptable standards

· Maintain a zero-discharge facility by adhering to material collection and reuse procedures

· Perform all routine maintenance inspections

· Report on the status of plant equipment to ensure limited downtime and optimum performance

· Report all machinery and equipment failures to supervisor immediately

· Report all downtime to supervisor immediately

· Perform all necessary inspections on the blending and bulk tanks by routinely checking valves and pipe fittings and reports as required

· Report any chemical spills to supervisor immediately

· Other duties as assigned

Required skills:

· Basic math and reasoning skills

· Hazmat certified

· Lift truck certified

· Ability to speak, write, and read English

· Basic computer skills

· Availability to work overtime as needed

· Ability to climb ladders and walk on catwalks above the blending tanks

· Free form fear of heights

Physical Demands & Work Environment

· Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, twist, climb, push, pull, and work in cramped spaces

· Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted
