Automation Controls Engineer

**Automation Controls Engineer: Roscoe, IL

**

We are seeking an Automation Controls Engineer to support the design, development, and implementation of industrial automation and electrical control systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects involving motor controls, motion and process control systems, and CNC control solutions.

**Key Responsibilities:

**

• Design and implement industrial automation and electrical control systems to meet project specifications and customer requirements.

• Support projects throughout the engineering lifecycle, from initial concept and design through startup and commissioning.

• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to develop effective, cost-conscious technical solutions.

• Specify and select electrical control components, including motor controls, circuit protection devices, PLCs, sensors, and safety control devices.

• Prepare bills of materials (BOMs) for control system projects.

• Develop electrical schematics, layout diagrams, and other technical documentation.

• Assist with improving existing products, systems, and engineering processes.

• Ensure designs and documentation align with applicable engineering standards, manufacturer specifications, and relevant safety codes.

**Skills & Experience:

**

• **Education:

  ** HSD, required; Technical training, trade school, or Associate degree in a related field, preferred

• **Experience:

  **1-2+ years of relevant experience in industrial machinery, factory automation, or electrical controls, required

• **Knowledge:

  ** AC and DC circuitry and electrical safety codes and regulations, required

• **Software:

  **experience using CAD software, PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs, required

** $70,000 - $90,000/year

** Full-time, 1st Shift, On-site
