The Opportunity
Shannon Construction Company is seeking a Commercial Project Manager to lead regional commercial construction projects from initial award through final execution.
This opportunity is also open to experienced Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers who have strong commercial construction experience and are ready to grow into a full Project Manager role.
You will serve as a key client liaison while helping drive project scope, quality, schedule, and budget. The role requires strong coordination across owners, subcontractors, suppliers, designers, and internal project teams.

How You Will Make an Impact
- Lead or support project progress meetings and client presentations.
- Manage construction activities to ensure project scope, schedules, quality standards, and budgets are met.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, designers, and internal team members throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support the negotiation and award of subcontractor and supplier contracts.
- Track project schedules, budgets, documentation, and changing project conditions.
- Help identify and resolve job-site challenges before they impact project performance.
- Provide leadership, coordination, and support to project team members.
- Maintain and reinforce site safety expectations.
- Build strong working relationships with clients, trade partners, and internal stakeholders.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Commercial general contracting experience in a Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, or closely related project-management role.
- Demonstrated experience supporting or managing commercial construction projects.
- Experience working with project schedules, budgets, scopes of work, subcontractors, and project documentation.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with construction management software.
- Strong written and verbal business communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with clients, subcontractors, designers, field teams, and internal leadership.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Approximately 5 years of commercial construction project-management experience.
- Proven experience managing commercial construction projects valued between $1M and $10M.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, or 4 years of equivalent relevant experience.
- Direct project experience within healthcare or industrial commercial construction.
- Demonstrated experience with Procore project management software or an equivalent platform.
- Established client and subcontractor relationships within the Pittsburgh-area market.
