Electronics Engineering Aide

Power Supply manufacturing company in Andover, MA is Hiring Engineering Aides for their Electrical R&D team.

Pay Rate: $30 - $40/hr. depending on experience

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Location: Andover, MA

Job Description

• Working under supervision from Engineers to perform a variety of complex and specialized tasks.
• Support Design Engineers with the design and development of new power supply products as well as the support of existing products.
• Perform evaluations, qualifications and testing on these products.
• Responsible for generating test reports and documentation packages for all new products.
• Be able to interface with internal organizations regarding product related issues

Education / Qualifications

•3-5 years of position related experience

•Strong knowledge of Analog or Power electronics circuits

•Proficient with standard electronic lab equipment: oscilloscopes, multi-meters, electronic loads, and power supplies

•Strong understanding of schematics, PCB layouts, circuit simulation, assembly drawings and test specifications

•Knowledge of component types and ratings. Understand voltage, power and current relationships, simple op amp theory, and transistor operation

•Excellent soldering and circuit prototyping skills

•Basic programming/scripting experience is a plus

•Requires strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills

•Ability to understand and follow-through on both verbal and written instructions

•Strong interpersonal skills involving ability to work effectively cross-functionally

•Good computer skills, including the ability to access and utilize information from existing data base systems
