What a Day Looks Like
At our Montgomery, AL 36117 facility, you’ll turn engineering intent into precisely machined parts. You’ll arrive, review the day’s drawings and blueprints, load or write the Gcode needed, and set tools, work offsets, and fixtures to get the first piece right. You’ll keep an eye on cycle performance, make thoughtful adjustments, and partner with teammates to keep quality and throughput on target.
How You’ll Contribute
- Set up, operate, and finetune CNC equipment for efficient, safe production.
- Create and edit programs using Gcode (and other CNC programming languages when needed).
- Translate technical drawings/blueprints into accurate tooling, feeds, speeds, and paths.
- Monitor operations; adjust tool wear, offsets, and parameters to uphold quality standards.
- Carry out routine preventive maintenance to keep machines at peak performance.
- Collaborate with peers to troubleshoot machining challenges and optimize results.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area, following safety protocols.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree or CNC machining certification is preferred.
- Handson experience as a CNC operator/programmer with solid knowledge of CNC machinery.
- Proficiency reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong math skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Proactive problemsolver with a cando approach.
- Familiarity with machining safety standards and best practices.
