Accounting Manager

CV Resources is partnering with a well-established, privately held construction and industrial services organization in the Pacific Northwest to identify an experienced Accounting Manager for an immediate contract or contract-to-hire opportunity.

This position will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, supporting financial reporting, improving internal processes, and ensuring accurate financial information across a complex, project-driven organization.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting leader who can step into a fast-paced environment, take ownership of critical accounting functions, and partner closely with operational leadership.

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, reconciliations, and month-end close.

• Manage and review journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting.

• Support construction-specific accounting activities, including job costing, project accounting, WIP reporting, and cost allocations.

• Partner with the Controller on financial reporting, accounting controls, and operational improvements.

• Provide leadership, training, and oversight to accounting staff.

• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve reporting accuracy, and leverage accounting technology.

• Collaborate with purchasing, supply chain, project management, and operations teams to resolve accounting discrepancies.

• Support audits, financial analysis, and other accounting initiatives as needed.

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close.

• Construction accounting, job costing, or project-based accounting experience strongly preferred.

• Experience overseeing AP, reconciliations, accruals, and accounting operations.

• Strong ERP experience; Viewpoint Vista or similar construction accounting software preferred.

• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyze complex financial information.

• Demonstrated success improving processes, implementing controls, and leading accounting teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; CPA or CMA a plus.

• Ability to quickly assess priorities and contribute with minimal ramp-up time.
