The Field Engineer is a highly technical, field-based role responsible for supporting the installation, commissioning, startup, testing, and operational performance of industrial standby and prime power generation systems.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring generator systems, paralleling switchgear, automatic transfer switches (ATS), and control systems are installed, commissioned, and operating safely, reliably, and in accordance with design specifications.
The Field Engineer works closely with Project Managers, Field Service Technicians, electrical contractors, and customers to deliver high-quality power system installations across Kinsley’s Northeast service territory.

Qualifications:
Minimum of seven (7) or more years of experience in industrial generator service, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul.
Required experience includes:
· Diesel and natural gas generator systems
· Paralleling switchgear and synchronization
· Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS)
· Load bank testing and performance validation
· Engine and generator control systems
Experience performing system startups, commissioning activities, and advanced troubleshooting in mission-critical environments (e.g., hospitals, data centers, utilities, industrial facilities) strongly preferred.
Previous experience leading commissioning efforts, mentoring technicians, or serving as a technical escalation resource is a plus.

The anticipated compensation range for this position is $130,000 to $180,000 annually. Actual compensation may vary based on skills, experience, certifications, location, and other business-related factors.
